The crystal clear water produced by the VORTISAND cooling water filter allows most state-of-the-art chemical treatment systems to operate at substantially higher levels of efficiency giving you a much better value for your dollar! The plate-frame heat exchanger has operated continuously according to its original design & performance, without the need for cleaning. Optimal performance has been maintained since the Vortisand cooling water filter was installed. 0.45 micron filtration will remove the very fine suspended solids before they agglomerate and foul in the tower sump or on heat exhangers. This fine cooling water filter reduces the turnover rate and to recommend 12 turnovers/day for clean water. Some systems may even be sized with 6 to 8 turnovers or less depending on the contamination. The cooling water filter can be installed without waiting for a shutdown or without emptying the sump.
